Los Gatos-May 25, 2013. Sereno Group’s Palo Alto Office announced Monterey Bay Salmon and Trout Project will be their 1% for Good recipient for the second quarter of 2013. Santa Cruz’s contribution will specifically help the organization replenish our streams and oceans with fish, which directly benefits the species and the sustainability of the larger, local ecosystem.
Founded in 1976, the Monterey Bay Salmon and Trout Project (MBSTP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration and enhancement of the native salmon and steelhead populations of the greater Monterey Bay area. The MBSTP operates a hatchery and rearing facility to supplement natural production which has been reduced due to habitat degradation.
“We are so grateful to have the opportunity to support the Monterey Bay Salmon and Trout Project,” said Craig Springbett, Sales Manager of Sereno Group Santa Cruz, “The natural world and its ecosystem are what make the Monterey Bay so uniquely beautiful and special. To contribute to the ongoing effort to ensure that ecosystem is sustainable has been a tremendous honor for us.”
